Chromagenic Series 2006 - 2007
I call this series "Chromagenic" because each painting is started from a pour, smear, spray, or brushstroke of color. That first layer of color leads to the next decision, be it a shape, line, or another color, until the process eventually leads to a resolution. This can result in a thickly textured surface, rich in visual memory.
